Precision in every line
About Patent Drawing Experts
We turn your invention into clear, carefully prepared patent drawings. Patent Drawing Experts supports patent attorneys, law firms, businesses, and individual inventors with utility and design illustrations.
From a rough sketch to a detailed CAD file, we help you explain the invention visually and prepare a consistent set of figures for your application.
Who we are
A drawing partner for your patent work
Good patent illustrations make technical information easier to understand. In practice, our role is to translate the material you provide into drawings that show the invention clearly and consistently.
We work with clients who have different starting points. For example, you may have photographs, hand sketches, engineering drawings, or a three-dimensional model. First, we review those materials, identify questions, and agree on the scope before preparing your figures.
Our focus is practical: readable line work, coordinated views, and a straightforward review process. Throughout the process, you remain involved so the finished drawings reflect your instructions.
What we do
Two drawing disciplines. One careful approach.
Utility patent drawings
Illustrations that explain how an invention is arranged or works. Depending on the subject, your set may include perspective views, sections, exploded views, diagrams, or flowcharts.

Coordinated views that communicate a product’s appearance. In particular, we pay close attention to consistency between views, surface shading, and your instructions for solid and broken lines.
Explore design drawings →Drawing revisions
Have an existing drawing set that needs attention? To begin, share the figures and any examiner comments or attorney instructions so we can assess the corrections and provide a clear scope.
Discuss a revision →Our approach
Details matter.
So does clarity.
Margins, line quality, reference characters, shading, and view consistency all deserve attention. For this reason, we consider the intended filing destination and your project instructions as we prepare the drawings.
See examples of our work →Clear expectations from the start
Before work begins, share the number of figures, available source material, filing destination, and deadline. As a result, we can discuss the price, timing, and deliverables for your project.
A review process that includes you
Check the draft figures against the invention and your filing strategy. Next, we use your consolidated feedback to refine the drawings and resolve any questions.
Files that fit your workflow
Tell us which output formats you need when requesting a quote. For example, we can discuss PDF and image files, as well as editable formats where suitable for the project.
How we work
From your first sketch to final figures
Share your materials
Send the sketches, photos, CAD files, or existing drawings you have. Also, include your requirements and any deadline so we can review the work needed.
Review the draft
We prepare the agreed figures for your review. You or your patent practitioner can check the technical details, view selection, and reference characters.
Receive your files
Once the review is complete, we provide the agreed drawing files. Your patent practitioner can then review the complete application before filing.

Drawing support, with the right boundaries
We prepare illustrations based on the information and instructions supplied. Claim scope and filing strategy should be decided with your patent practitioner. Patent office acceptance depends on the complete application and its examination; drawing services cannot guarantee a grant.
